Are Fixer Upper Shows Making You (As a Buyer) Irrational?
Don't you love those Fixer Upper shows? There are so many including: Fixer Upper, Love It or List It, and Property Brothers
I know I love seeing houses go from yucky to amazing and shiny. Everything is just so perfect.
But is it realistic?
Buyers come in and see these amazing houses with 'character' (by the way, you should insert 'expensive to fix' any time someone says 'character'). The more character a home has, the higher the cost for new electrical wiring, HVAC systems, and taking down walls.
The good news --- Buyers see potential in the home. Buyers have been coached to have a vision. And they can see more opportunities.
The bad news --- Buyers (and people in general) are busier than they have ever been with jobs, kids, and not enough...
